She was the first voice we heard and the wisdom she shared with us throughout our lives has kept us out of trouble on more than one occasion.

She’s our Mother… The nurturing, strong, intelligent woman who showed us what females are made of.

Today we celebrate Mother’s Day by sharing some of the lessons mum taught us that have lasted well beyond our childhood years…

“If it’s not on, it’s not on”. Really clichéd but it set me up to be able to have
STD conversations with potential partners”. – Emily

Claire and mum

“Cook by taste, basically how to never follow a recipe exactly” – Claire

Me and Mum
“Be loyal to your friends and love them like family. Embrace everyday with
them and tell them you love them as time is precious”. – Georgia

“Tidy up before you go to bed. Always save for a rainy day. Always go to Mass!
If you don’t have your faith you have nothing. What’s for you won’t pass you.
How to make brown bread (which I’ve now forgotten!)
How to light a fire.  How to wash clothes.
How to be stubborn”! – Geraldine

Ruth and ma
“Follow your heart and you’ll live a life filled with love,
travel and adventure”. – Ruth

fernando
Spanish saying: Dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres.
English Translation: “Tell me who you walk with and I’ll tell you who you are.
If you spend a lot of time with a certain type of people,
you’ll start to become more like them. English versions of this saying are
“Birds of a feather flock together”. – Fernando.
